Treasury Management Officer

The Treasury Management Officer will play a key role in expanding our business banking capabilities and ensuring our customers have access to secure, efficient, and modern cash‑management tools.

The Treasury Management Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting treasury management products and services for business customers. This position works closely with commercial lenders and business clients to identify needs, recommend solutions, and ensure a smooth experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business customers to understand their cash‑management needs
  • Identify treasury management opportunities within existing and prospective commercial relationships
  • Ensure adequate collateral is pledged to municipal deposits as required under ORC 135
  • Partner with commercial lenders to deliver integrated banking solutions
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend appropriate cash management products
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for treasury management customers
  • Provide product demonstrations, training, and setup services such as ACH origination, remote deposit capture, online banking, merchant services, fraud prevention tools, and reciprocal networks
  • Maintain strong, proactive communication to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Stay current on treasury management products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of services
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting, service issues, and optimization of their cash management setup
  • Ensure all treasury services comply with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation standards
  • Monitor high risk services such as ACH and wire origination for proper controls and documentation
  • Support fraud prevention initiatives and educate customers on best practices
  • Assist in researching new products or enhancing existing services based on client feedback.
  • Promote and support treasury management products such as ACH origination, remote deposit capture, online banking services, merchant services, and fraud‑prevention tools

Required Skills or Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred, equivalent experience considered
  • 5 + years of treasury management, commercial banking, or cash management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of treasury products such as ACH, wires, RDC, positive pay, and online banking platforms

Business Development Officer

As a Business Development Officer, you would be responsible for generating new business and maintaining profitable relationships with current customers, focusing on loans within our Pataskala (Licking County) market area.

The Business Development Officer must have a positive attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to successfully work with all types of personalities and have excellent product selling skills. To be successful in this position you must build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with new and current customers, have knowledge of all loan types offered, generate profitable new loans, and cross-sell deposit products.

Loan Specialist
This position supports the lending team by preparing, reviewing, and processing loan files from application through closing. This role ensures accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely communication with customers, loan officers, and third party partners.  The Loan Specialist plays a key role in delivering a positive, relationship focused experience for every borrower.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Process loan applications for consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans, ensuring all required documentation is collected and complete
•Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies and federal/state regulations
•Order and track third party services such as credit reports, appraisals, title work, flood certifications, and verifications of employment or income
•Prepare loan disclosures and closing documents in accordance with regulatory requirements
•Communicate proactively with customers, loan officers, and closing agents to ensure smooth and timely loan processing
•Identify and resolve file deficiencies by obtaining missing information or clarifying discrepancies
•Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is properly filed
•Prepare loan applications, legal documents, letters, forms, government notices, and checks
•Verify collateral values for loan security
•File and maintain loan records
•Accept and post payments on accounts: loans, credit cards, charge-offs
•Communicate with people outside the bank, such as insurance companies, appraisers, customers, other financial institutions, and county agencies
•Calculate financial data as needed
•Balance loans / online posting, charge-offs and credit cards
•Complete required reports
•Assist with the setup and maintenance of customer escrow accounts
•Maintain force placed insurance
•Track flood insurance requirements
•Provide payoff quotes
•Perform loan maintenance
•Complete assigned employee education and training
•May be required to travel
•Promote Peoples State Bank services when applicable
•Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills or Knowledge:
•  High school diploma or equivalent required
•  Experience in loan processing, loan operations, or a related banking role preferred
•  Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
•  Excellent communication and customer service skills

•  Ability to work independently and as part of a relationship driven team with limited supervision
